What is Etherealization?

Etherealization is UTD's duplicate unit system. Instead of selling duplicate units for gold, you merge them with your main copy to increase its Ethereal Level (E1-E6). Each level unlocks new passives and stat bonuses.

Merge Duplicates
Fuse copies into main unit
Unlock Passives
New abilities at each level
Max E6
6 copies for maximum power

Avoid Selling Mythic Duplicates

Selling a Mythic duplicate for a small amount of gold can block later Ethereal planning. Treat duplicates as progression resources unless you have confirmed they are safe to spend.

  • Selling a dupe: small immediate gold value
  • Etherealizing a dupe: legacy model assumes passive unlocks and stat boosts

How to Etherealize

1

Open Unit Menu

Go to your unit inventory and select the unit you want to enhance.

2

Select Etherealize

Find the Etherealize option (may be in upgrade or enhance menu).

3

Choose Duplicate

Select a duplicate of the same unit to merge.

Confirm Merge

The duplicate is consumed, and your main unit gains an Ethereal level.

Etherealization Tips

  • Speed Cart First

Economy scales everything. More money = more upgrades = faster clears.

  • Virtual Idol Second

Her buffs affect your whole team. Higher E-level = team-wide damage boost.

  • Focus One Carry

Better to have one E6 carry than three E2 carries. Concentrated power wins.

  • Secret Units Are Rare

Secret-unit rates are Mixed model assumptions. Plan copy goals conservatively until current summon evidence is recorded.

Known Issues

Some unit copy plans are difficult or uncertain under the current evidence:

  • Law (Battle Pass): copy cap and full-passive requirements are legacy model context
  • Sun Jin Wu / Jinoo: Secret-unit copy planning uses Mixed summon assumptions
  • Ragna / Dragon Guy: current drop record is Dragon Guy 3% (50 Pity); older 2%/75-pity claim remains legacy context

Focus on targets whose copies you can actually verify and farm in your account stage.
