How to Get & Enhance Relics
Complete breakdown of UTD's gear system. How substats work, where to farm relics, and upgrade strategies.
What Are Relics?
Relics are gear pieces that boost your units' stats. Similar to Epic 7's gear system, relics have main stats and substats. Equipping the right relics can dramatically increase your unit's effectiveness.
Relic Stats Overview
Each relic has a main stat that determines its primary effect. Understanding which stats to prioritize is crucial for optimizing your units.
Substat Upgrade Strategy
When you enhance a relic, upgrades either improve existing substats (Perk Upgrade) or unlock new ones. Prioritize relics with 5 substats already to maximize value.
UPGRADE
All upgrades go into existing stats (Perk Upgrade). Maximum value potential.
CONSIDER
Good if main stat is perfect. 1 upgrade might unlock new stat.
AVOID
Upgrades may waste rolls unlocking new substats instead of improving existing ones.

Relic Farming Tips
- Nightmare Mode (75%)
Best source for Mythic relics. Gives good XP too.
- Legend Stages
Higher difficulty increases drop rate. 1000% gives ~14.5% drop rate.
- Virtual Realm Hard
Only source for exclusive gear pieces (Hat, special Top/Bottom).
- Gold is Abundant
~20k gold to max a relic. Gold is easy to farm, so upgrade freely.
Common Mistakes
- Stacking Crit Rate on Cyborg
Crit Rate is multiplicative. +37.5% only turns 15% base into ~20%, not 52.5%.
- Upgrading 3-substat relics
Waste of resources. Always wait for 5-substat Mythic relics.
- No sorting feature
Game lacks sorting. Be careful not to accidentally fodder good relics.
